Becoming a Barrique Franchisee

Your contribution

Your willingness and determination to lead the Barrique system to success (in conjunction with all partners and as part of a team) is the single most important attribute you must possess.
You should be able to enjoy fresh ideas and have the ability to implement them quickly. Of course, you need to be enthusiastic about our concept and enjoy dealing with people.
Financial management experience is desirable, but not essential. The same applies to experiences in sales or retail, which are an advantage, but again not critical since we will provide you with training.
Should you wish to find out more about the Barrique concept, please complete the attached questionnaire and return it to us. We will contact you upon receipt immediately.

Location

The Barrique concept is ideally suited to (1B/1A) High Street locations. However, it may also well work in peripheral areas, as long as footfall meets minimum specifications. Local population should not be less than 30,000

Retail space should be between 60-90m² with back-of-house storage facilities of no less than 20m². A prominent window display area is another ingredient to ensure success in the chosen location.

Getting to know each other

An initial visit and personal meeting at our Bath shop are critical, since the right xchemistryx between partners is another not unimportant aspect of future success. During such a meeting we will introduce you in detail to the Barrique concept, discuss your chosen location and advise you on possibilities to raise the finance for your own business.
For booking the next Information-Day in Bath, please use our Enquiry Form
Should at this stage both parties wish to proceed, you will then have the opportunity to gather some practical work experience in the shop.

Facts and figures

As the process continues we will support you with the compilation of your business plan, an analysis of your figures, advice on financing possibilities and feasability studies.

Training

Besides the opportunity to gather some real-life experience in one of our shops, you will participate in a 3-week foundation training course which consists of one week theory and two weeks practise prior to the opening of your own shop. On-going training continues on a bi-annual basis.
