Barrique - The Famous Art of Spirit
Company Philosophy

By offering an attractively presented range of fine wines, oils, vinegars, sauces, cocktails and spices in a loose format, which can be tasted by customers prior to purchase, Hans-Heinrich Bendix, founder and owner of Barrique has landed a small stroke of genius. This also accounts for the numerous copycats around.
Currently Barrique offers over 170 loose products in its range.
Those are sold through glass amphorae and stainless steel barrels called Kegs. Consumers have products of their choice bottled individually on site. Own receptacles can be used for the purpose or a bottle from the broad Barrique range can be chosen to match personal tastes and budgets.

From the bottle stop to labelling: the customer can freely decide according to their preference and taste.

Buying a Barrique product goes beyond mere shopping and instead turns into a playful experience, an exciting journey allowing the use of individual creativity and imagination that offers an alternative to the uniformity and dullness of everyday tedium and mass products. A Barrique trader accompanies his customer on this journey and provides inspiration and sound advice.

And of course Barrique offers more than a clever concept: the content is right too, as there is no point in only offering loose products sold in pretty packaging, as this would mean the customer only comes once.

The Barrique concept reaches far beyond the idea of only selling loose products:

Behind the concept there is a philosophy created by people for people that is based on 22 years of experience with the sale and distribution of loose products and accessories, but also 22 years of experience in marketing and integrity and doing business on a human scale.

Trustworthiness is the most important basis for success!

Trustworthy means quality: The Barrique concept stands up to the highest expectations from its customers; after all, they do sample products prior to purchasing.

Trustworthy means only truly exclusive products: customers are able to select and create a truly

individual and unique present from the Barrique product range.

Trustworthy means competent: naturally, customers expect knowledgeable advice; he expects an individual atmosphere and to be able to trust the retailer.

Trustworthy means ecologically responsible business practices: the Barrique concept avoids unnecessary packaging. The concept aims to be environmentally friendly when the world seems to drown in waste packaging materials.

The Barrique philosophy is based on this foundation to attain trustworthiness.

For 22 years Barrique has been importing directly from producers in an environment of mutual trust. All products are bottled and packaged at the companies` Head Office in Gross Lobke near Hannover in Germany. This way Barrique is able to exercise flawless quality control – quality standards are an integral part of the programme!

Barrique designs its own bottles, stops and produces liqueurs, vinegars and oils and much more. Barrique owns the copyright for many of its products. Exclusivity is taken for granted.

Barrique contract partners are continually trained and developed benefiting from the 22 years of business experience.

Logistics behind the concept are perfect: Receptacles for products are predominately made out of glass, which can be recycled. The same goes for cartons, which can be used more than once and containers , for which there is a deposit and which should be returned. Barrique delivers its products through its own fleet of lorries that also take away the empty receptacles at the same time. Importing loose products and bottling them on site is another piece in the jigsaw of ecological sound business practices: wrapping material and receptacles do not have to be transported over long distances. This means less weight, less fuel usage and less strain on the environment. Ecologically sound practices through sound logistics.

The Barrique concept relies on honesty – also behind the scene. Every Barrique trader is therefore able to fulfil the most important prerequisite for his success:

Trustworthiness!
